PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Road sealants are materials used to fill and seal road cracks, often considered a "deep sealing defense" for pavements. They primarily address wide, deep, or dynamically changing cracks, preventing moisture from penetrating the road base and causing further damage.
Material Types and Composition
Hot-Melt Road Sealants: Typically based on asphalt, they incorporate modifiers such as SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer), SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), and rubber powder, as well as plasticizers and stabilizers. They require heating to approximately 180℃–220℃ for liquid application and then solidify and seal upon cooling.
Core Features and Advantages
Deep Sealing and Waterproofing: Good fluidity allows for deep filling of cracks, forming an impermeable sealing layer that effectively prevents rainwater erosion of the road base structure.
High Elasticity and Adaptability: High-quality road sealants possess high elongation, allowing them to withstand thermal expansion and contraction, load deformation, and repeated stretching and compression without cracking.
Durability and Adhesion: High adhesion strength to asphalt pavements, UV resistance, anti-aging properties, and a service life of 3–5 years or more.
Controllable construction efficiency: With specialized hot-melt machines, continuous operation is possible, suitable for treating large-scale road cracks.

Widely used for large cracks in highways of all grades, municipal roads, airport runways, port yards, parking lots, and other locations.
